Since May 2012, the Cleveland State University School of Social Work is the Publisher of Reflections, after a long stewardship by California State University Long Beach School of Social Work. Our School is now publishing Reflections fully open access.
The CSU School of Social Work and the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences provides important support for the Journal, including a graduate assistant and website support. In addition, significant annual support is provided by our Publishing Partners: Howard University School of Social Work; University of Georgia School of Social Work; California State University Long Beach School of Social Work, and Monmouth University School of Social Work.
However, the journal is also reliant upon institutional supporters such as social work programs and social agencies, who serve as Institutional Friend of Reflections. In addition, individuals can serve as Friends of Reflections. Reflections use these funds exclusively for Reflections and not for any other purpose. We are asking individuals, schools of social work, and social agencies, to step forward with the financial support necessary.
Individual Friends of Reflections
We have established various gift levels as follows:
- $1000 or more cumulatively or one time – A THOUSAND THANKS
- $250 or more one-time contribution – FRIEND FOR LIFE
- $ (ANY AMOUNT) – FRIEND OF REFLECTIONS
The names of contributors are listed here. To make an individual tax-deductible contribution, you may send a check or donate online. Checks should be made out to Friends of Reflections Fund at CSU and mailed:

- Fill out the initial information page and Click Submit
- Under Additional Questions, choose Please Designate my Gift to
- Click on the down arrow and choose other.
- Type in Friends of Reflections Account at CSU
- Click Continue for credit card processing and submit.
All individual contributors will receive a confirmation email stating in part, “Your gift confirmation is below. If you have questions, please contact Cleveland State University Advancement at (216) 523-7291 or email us at giving@csuohio.edu.”
Institutional Friends of Reflections
The minimum contribution is $250 and this need only be made once, although continued support is welcome. Current institutional friends are here. A generic invoice and W-9 form from Cleveland State University can expedite this support. Or just email reflections@csuohio.edu with Institutional Friends in the subject. A formal invoice will then be provided. Checks from schools of social work and other institutional entities should be made out to Cleveland State University and mailed to Cathleen Lewandowski, Director, School of Social Work, RT 1417, Cleveland State University, 2121 Euclid Ave., Cleveland OH 44115.
Funds received are deposited in the operational account to support website hosting, copy editing, proofreading, and editorial support staff.
