Faculty and Staff Resources

This page is under construction as of Fall 2023 - this is meant to be a "one bookmark" link to all the College of Health policy and procedure info.  Please be patient as it will take a little time to fully develop.

Meetings and Committees Resources:

College of Health Sharepoint site:  also in development - this is meant to be the place we share working and finalized documents with each other for College and committee business.  This site is CSUID/password secured but not HIPAA or FERPA secured so please do not share documents there that fall into those categories.  Some folders might be secured for internal committee work and some will be accessible to all College of Health employees.  If your committee would like a folder on this Sharepoint site, please let Bess know.

College Meeting Minutes: on the College of Health Sharepoint, CSU log-in required and available to College of Health employees only.

Marketing, Communication, Social Media, Electronic Displays:

You can send marketing/communication/social media requests to Bess Antol at e.antol@csuohio.edu.  Bess can help facilitate getting information to CSU Marketing/News as well as other possible modes of getting the word out.  If you have a flyer you would like to share, please consider the following options, and let Bess know what you would like:

Medium size/shape Additional text outside of image Use Link or QR code
COH Faculty/Staff email doesn't matter Yes, in body of email Link
College of Health LinkedIn doesn't matter Yes, below image Link
College of Health Instagram Square, prefer 1080x1080 Yes, below image Direct links aren't possible, but if you provide a link there is a work-around
Display Screens (in CH 1st floor lounge areas) landscape, prefer 1920x1080 No QR code (free generator)
Emails to students via Starfish (courtesy of our Assistant Deans for Student Services) doesn't matter Yes, in body of email Link

Bess can also provide design support, but it will take more time to publish than if you have your flyer/promo ready-made.

Additional resources/outlets:  Please let Bess know if interested in getting info to a wider audience than the above.

  • Other CSU buildings have display screens as well
  • Various CSU entities can get emails out to all students on campus, all faculty on campus, etc.
  • CSU Marketing will sometimes offer to do photography, videography, and news features (but if they aren't willing to pick it up, we have to pay for those services)

Event Planning:

Food:

Please work with your administrative staff in your unit to order food for your events if possible.  Your staff should be up to date on current processes and have an account through Catering to help look up current prices.

General policies that might be useful for all involved in planning events:

  • Catering policies, summarized:  Check Catering for current specific policies, but generally, under $75 does not require a waiver from Catering.  There is a higher no-waiver limit for Rascal House.  And other than that, a waiver is required for any other off-site caterer.
  • Funding:  Food for students can be purchased from a variety of funds, food for external visitors can be purchased from a variety of funds, but food that is ONLY being served to internal employees (faculty or staff) MUST be purchased only through funds housed in Advancement or grants (if specified).
  • Approvals:  ALL purchases of food regardless of fund source must be approved by Dean's Office (Madalynn Wendland) and Provost's Office  (Associate Dean will forward to Provost Office on approval).  This formal approval is in addition to any catering waiver needed, and whatever approval required for your source of funds.  Please use this form to request this approval:  COH Refreshment Approval form.docx

Faculty-Specific Resources:

Your presence on CSU webpages and your noteworthy activities:

  • Something noteworthy to share?  Please reach out to Bess Antol at collegeofhealth@csuohio.edu to report your scholarship/event/award/service.  It may be shared in various formats depending on the nature of the kudos, e.g., LinkedIn, College news on the web, email to faculty.
  • Department/School Faculty page:  Each Department/School should have their own faculty webpage and usually a department/school staff person is assigned to help update it.  If you are not sure who your designated person is, you can also reach out to Mary Leanza Manzuk (Nursing/Social Work) or Bess Antol (any other units for website issue - including tracking down owners of non-COH pages).  The goal of these pages is to impress donors, grantors, and prospective students - a different audience than Faculty Profiles.
  • Faculty Profiles:  A faculty index that can be searched by research specialty.  The target audience for this is primarily other researchers or students who may want to research with you. Directory information updated automatically, but do update with your research, teaching, and research interests at https://updatefacultyprofile.csuohio.edu/updatefacultyprofile/index.cfm
  • Academic Server:  Faculty can also choose to create and maintain their own webpages for their research and teaching through the Academic Web Server.  It is powered by WordPress, and training videos are provided but there is minimal staff/IS&T support for it.  To set yours up, please visit  https://www.csuohio.edu/faculty-affairs/academic-web-server
