Bachelor of Science in Education, Physical Education and Sport (Exercise Science)

The study of Exercise Science provides an understanding of human movement, physiology, and physical activity and how they can be used to maintain or improve health, physical fitness, and sport performance. Studying Exercise Science fosters communication skills, critical thinking, and an understanding of human movement and physiology.

Master of Science in Health Science (MSHS)

This program is intended for practicing health care professionals or those with an undergraduate degree in a health-related area (e.g. Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences) with plans to pursue a career working in health and human services settings. Courses are primarily offered online or in the evenings to accommodate the needs of working professionals.

Master of Education in Exercise Science

The Master of Education in Exercise Science program helps students develop skills to organize and lead exercise programs in a variety of settings, including cardiac rehabilitation centers, corporate and hospital-based wellness programs, and private physical fitness enterprises. The primary focus of study is exercise physiology and its applications to physical activity programs. The program has a Laboratory-based hands-on approach to learning and applying the principles of exercise science. All graduate courses are offered online or in the evenings to accommodate students with other commitments.

Master of Community Health Promotion

We have discontinued admission into this program and transitioned to a track in the Master of Science in Health Science. Students currently in the program will have a choice of finishing out the degree as is, or switching to the MSHS -CHP track. See advisor for more information.
