Aging is a multidisciplinary field.  This means that the study of aging integrates information for several separate areas of study. Biology, Sociology, and Psychology are core or basic areas along with other professionals that serve older adults. Gerontology is the study of the aging process and individuals as they grow from middle age through later life.  It includes the study of physical, cognitive, and social changes in older people as they age as well as changes in society as the result of aging population.  Geriatrics is the study of health and disease in later live and the comprehensive health care of older persons and the wellbeing of their informal caregivers.

We are anticipating over 100 students to be present for this event. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Gerontology Program Administrative Secretary, Martha Burt, at (216) 687-3744, by email at m.a.burt@csuohio.edu or by fax at (216) 687-9316
