Greetings School of Nursing stakeholders.
The Cleveland State University School of Nursing is currently seeking re-accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for the BSN and MSN programs and initial accreditation for the Post Graduate APRN Certificate program. There is an opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit written comments concerning the program’s qualifications for accreditation. Written third-party comments will be received by CCNE until 21days before the scheduled evaluation. The accreditation review for CSU is scheduled for April 7-9, 2025. All third-party comments received by CCNE are considered confidential and are only shared with the evaluation team. Written third party comments must be received by CCNE by March 17, 2025.

We offer a full range of nursing programs, from the traditional baccalaureate to an accelerated BSN program for those with a bachelor’s degree in another field. An RN-to-BSN option is available for licensed nurses. We offer a streamlined pathway to a BSN in collaboration with Cuyahoga Community College. The Master of Science in Nursing has six pathways: Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Education, Forensics, Clinical Nurse Leader and Specialized Populations. Our MSN program is ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. For those currently working in nursing and other health care professions, we also have a variety of continuing education programs.
Our faculty conduct cutting-edge research across a range of areas, from chronic pain management to the effective use of technology for educating future nurses. These endeavors increase the knowledge base of nursing and benefit the world at large.
Another hallmark of the CSU School of Nursing is service outside the classroom. Through coursework and student organizations, our students, faculty and staff interact with the community in a variety of settings. CSU nursing students have an opportunity to participate in service learning opportunities in areas outside of Ohio to meet health care needs in impoverished areas.
