Viking Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser for Lift Up Vikes!

All proceeds to Lift Up Vikes! CSU student food pantry located on Berkman Hall first floor

Who:  College of Health, pre-Professional Healthcare, and Pathways 2 Practice Faculty, Staff, and Students.

How to participate:

  1. Buy and decorate a pumpkin:  pick up a pumpkin for a $1 donation from the Dean’s office between 9am-4pm from October 16th through October 20th (while supplies last, one per person).

Then decorate your pumpkin and return to the Dean’s office by Wednesday October 25th (see below for decorating rules).  Winners of “Best Decorated” will be announced on October 27th.  No decorated pumpkins will be returned to their creators.

  1. Enter to win a decorated pumpkin:  Starting October 16th, buy a raffle ticket (from the Dean’s office or email Bess Antol (e.antol@csuohio.edu) or Sheila Patterson (s.m.patterson@csuohio.edu) if you want to participate but aren’t sure you can get to the Dean’s office.  A chance to win a decorated pumpkin is only $1 (raffle tickets close on the 26th at 4pm).  Winners will be notified via email on the Oct 27th and must pick up their pumpkins no later than 4 pm on Tuesday October 31st.  Subsequent pumpkin pickup for the winners is first come first served (so no guarantees that you can get that one you fancied, but of course more ticket entries improves your chances of taking home one of them).
     
  2. Make a monetary contribution for Lift Up Vikes! at the Dean’s office from Oct 16-Oct 31st if you wish.

Best Decorated Prizes:

In addition to bragging rights, a gift certificate awarded to the winner of each category below:

Categories:

Best in Show (determined by “CSU celebrity” judge)

Best health-related themed pumpkin

People’s choice (determined by a vote)

Decorating rules:

  1. No carving (we can’t have any rotting before the end of the contest);
  2. Name your pumpkin (puns are appreciated! But see rule #4);
  3. Decorations and pumpkins will not be returned (don’t use anything you want back);
  4. Decorations/names should be “family friendly”; and
  5. Please go ahead and use paint, glue, paper, vinyl, well-adhered glitter, accessories, foam, feathers, and whatever other crafty materials you wish!
