Our mission:

Inspire innovation and inclusivity
Promote health equity and wellness
Educate with excellence

Our vision:

The College of Health will be a leader in diverse, inclusive education, interprofessional practice, and research. Utilizing a holistic approach, we will promote individual, family, community, regional, and global health and wellness.

Our core values:

Compassion
Advocacy
Respect
Equity

Note: "IPE" is an acronym used to describe InterProfessional Education - which is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy to prepare health scientists and health workers to work collaboratively across disciplines.  For example, in a hospital setting a variety of practitioners and professionals need to work together to improve and promote health considering the whole person and all aspects of how a diagnosis may impact someone's health and life.

Important information for College of Health Students

Many of our partner health care facilities require students and faculty to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and other standard vaccinations in order to have clinical experiences at their facility.  In some programs, it may be difficult to complete placements required for your program of study if you do not get the required vaccines.

All International, Residence Life, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and MA in Speech-Language Pathology students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance.  Waivers may be possible if you are already covered, however the waiver period is limited, so please check the below website to see if you are eligible for waiver.
